Anthony Malarbi Obituary

Antonio (Anthony) R. Malarbi, 89, of Bentleyville, died Wednesday morning, November 9, 2016 at Monongahela Valley Hospital.

He was born October 1, 1927 in Bentleyville, a son of Antonio and Teresa Scicchitano Malarbi.

A graduate of the Bentleyville High School, he was a member of the Ave Maria Parish.

Mr. Malarbi worked for the former BethEnergy Mines at mine 51, Ellsworth and mine 60, Somerset Township. He also worked as a Traffic Hearing Examiner for the State of Pennsylvania.

He was the owner of Bentleyville Amusement Company and former part owner of Royal Hydraulics in Cokeburg.

He was a member, and at one time, served as president of the Independent Club in Bentleyville.

Mr. Malarbi was an avid hunter, sports fan and favored the University of Pittsburgh football and basketball.

His wife, JoAnn L. Trasatti Malarbi, died January 31, 2010. They were married August 18, 1956.

Surviving are three children, Rocco Malarbi (Phyllis) of Scenery Hill, Stanley “Rick” Malarbi (Laura) of Monessen and Joni Kroger (Mike) of Columbus, Ohio; grandchildren, Rocco and Nicholas of Scenery Hill, Alexis Malarbi of Monessen and Christian Kroger of Columbus.

Deceased are brothers, Nick, Mike and John Malarbi and sisters, Lee Russo, Marie Frameli and Josephine Huber.

Respecting Mr. Malarbi’s wishes, there will be no public visitation or service.
