Darlene Heckman Obituary

Darlene F. Harida Heckman, 82, of Somerset Township, Bentleyville, died Friday, August 04, 2017 at the John J. Kane Regional Care Center, Pittsburgh.

She was born January 30, 1935 in Bentleyville, a daughter of John H. Harida and Bertha J. Parker Harida.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Bentleyville.

On February 2, 1952, she married, James E. Heckman, who died July 21, 2014.

Surviving are her children, James Heckman, Jr. (Sylvia) of Bentleyville, Dennis Heckman of Texas, Sharon Serenari (Larry) of Bentleyville and Kay Cole of Bentleyville; daughter-in-law, Ellen Heckman of Fredericktown (the late Jeffrey Heckman); seven grandchildren, Justin Heckman, Christina Clark, Jennifer Heckman, Jill Lauder, Jessica Cole, Amanda Cole and Jamie Price; seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are two brothers, Frank L. Harida and John Harida and two sisters, Betty Adams and Blanche Porter.

Friends are welcome from 1 to 3 and 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, where a service will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, August 7, 2017 with Pastor Andy Scott, officiating.
