Deborah Jobes Obituary

Deborah Malik Jobes, 67, of Bentleyville, died Sunday, December 4, 2016 at the Donnell House in Washington with her family by her side.

She was born July 24, 1949 in Brownsville, daughter of Rudy Malik and Anne Mihalik Malik.

Mrs. Jobes was a graduate of Mon Valley Catholic High School and attended the University of Pittsburgh. She was a retired tax collector for Bentleyville Borough and Bentworth School District and had a business preparing income tax returns.

She was a member of Ave Maria Parish, a charter member of the Bentleyville Lioness Club, MENSA, and the Clementines (graduates of St. Clement Grade School). Deb enjoyed spending time with her family, reading and solving puzzles.

She is survived by husband, William Edgar Jobes, who she married on June 28, 1969 at St. Clement Church in Ellsworth.

Also surviving are her son, William Michael Jobes (wife Pam) of Holly, Michigan; daughter Amy Anne Jobes of Bentleyville; grandchildren, Hannah Clark, Natalie and Kaitlyn Jobes, Evan Foley, Josh Berlin (wife Nikki), Jesse Berlin and Paige Berlin; great-grandson Berlin on the way; sister, Nancy Bogner (husband Dean) of Cincinnati, OH; niece Jennifer Bogner Nugent of Cincinnati, nephew Dean Bogner of Cincinnati, OH and niece Jacquelyn Bogner Miller of Akron, OH and many wonderful cousins, nieces, nephews and other family too numerous to mention.

Friends are welcome from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, where a prayer service will be held at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, December 7, 2016 followed at 10 a.m. by a Mass of Christian Burial in Ave Maria Church, Bentleyville, with the Reverend Edward L. Yuhas, as celebrant. At a later date, private interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Monongahela. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ave Maria Parish, 126 Church Street, Bentleyville, PA 15314 or the Bentleyville Area Historical Society, PO Box 15, Bentleyville, PA 15314.
