Elvira Conkle

Elvira “Vera” L. Conkle, 78, of Bentleyville, died Sunday morning, April 24, 2016 at the Washington County Health Center.

She was born March 9, 1938 in Monessen, a daughter of Frank and Julia Fusarini Fontanelli.

Mrs. Conkle was a graduate of Monessen high School.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family and working in her yard and flower gardens.

On June 17, 1966, she married John W. Conkle, who survives.

Also surviving are three sons, John B. of Bentleyville, Mark of Charleroi and Chad (Pam) of Bentleyville; five grandchildren, Donald Valentine, Nicholas, Timothy, Joshua and Rebecca Conkle.

Deceased in addition to her parents are three brothers, Eugene, Reginald and Jerry Fontanelli and a sister, Eleanor Sabatini.

Friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255. Funeral services will be private.
