Gary Moody Obituary

Gary E. Moody, 69, of Fayette City, died Thursday afternoon, October 6, 2016 at UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh.

He was born March 24, 1947 in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Jack and Dorothy Griffith Moody.

A veteran, he served with the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1972.

Mr. Moody retired from the Port Authority of Allegheny County, where he worked as a bus driver.

He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Bentleyville and the F&AM Masonic Blyth Lodge 593 in West Newton.

His wife, Edith M. Stumpf Moody, survives. They were married April 12, 1967 in Whitaker.

Also surviving are two sons, Gary R. Moody of Bentleyville and Gregory J. Moody (Monica) of Fayette City and a granddaughter, Autumn Moody.

Friends are welcome from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, October 10, 2016 at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, where a memorial service will follow at 8 p.m. with Rev. Andy Scott, officiating.
