Joseph M. “Lully” Sindrich, 80, of Ellsworth, died Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at the Monongahela Valley Hospital.
He was born July 29, 1936 in Ellsworth, a son of John and Zora Rupcich Cindrich.
A graduate of the Ellsworth High School, he attended I.C.S. for surveying and business.
Mr. Sindrich was a veteran and served from 1959 to 1962 with the U.S. Army as an artillery surveyor.
He retired from the former Bethlehem Mines, where he worked as a purchasing agent.
Mr. Sindrich was a member of Saint Katharine Drexel Parish, Bentleyville Campus (formerly Ave Maria), Croatian Fraternal Union Lodge 354 in Cokeburg and served on Ellsworth Borough council for four years.
His wife, Louise C. Delegram Sindrich, died April 29, 2013. They were married on August 12, 1961 at St. Luke Church, Bentleyville.
Surviving are a brother, Frank Sindrich of Bentleyville and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are three brothers, George Sindrich, Paul Cindrich and John Cindric, Jr. and two sisters, Mary Cindrich and Ann Baltich.
A private blessing service will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Croatian Fraternal Union Scholarship Fund, 100 Delaney Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15235.
