Lillian Tony Obituary

Lillian C. Urich Tony, 85, of Bentleyville, died Tuesday morning, August 22, 2017 at the Washington Hospital, after a lengthy illness.

She was born August 30, 1931 in Charleroi, a daughter of Peter and Anna Urich.

She was a 1950 graduate of Donora High School.

Mrs. Tony worked as a secretary in Pittsburgh before marrying Mike Tony on January 23, 1960. He passed away April 13, 1996.

She was a member of the former St. Michaels Antiochian Orthodox Church in Monessen.

She enjoyed the music of Frank Sinatra, going to plays and concerts with her son and main caregiver, Paul Keith Tony of Bentleyville.

Also surviving is a son Michael Kevin Tony (Cindy) of Uniontown; and grandson Michael Tony.

Deceased is a sister Shirley Urich, who passed away in May of 1999.

Friends are welcome from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, where family and friends will meet at 9 a.m., Saturday, August 26, followed at 10 a.m. by a funeral service at St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church, Monessen, with Father Fred Pfeil, as celebrant. Interment will follow in Monongahela Cemetery. A Trisagion service will be at 7 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
