Marion L. Berchin – Loved Her Family and Traveling

Marion L. Kopelchak Berchin, 88, of Scenery Hill entered into eternal peace Monday, April 2, 2018 at the Monongahela Valley Hospital.

She was born April 4, 1929, a daughter of the late Steve and Mary Smollar Kopelchak.

She married Andrew J. Berchin and they shared a wonderful life together until his passing on March 21, 1990.

Marion was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish and the Bentworth Senior Citizens in Bentleyville.

Surviving are her son, Andy “Butch” Berchin and his fiancée Judy Skerbetz; grandson, Andy D. Berchin and wife Heather and their daughter, Makenna and grandson Michael Berchin and wife Jonee; brother, Harry S. Kopelchak and wife Betty.

After the death of her husband, she devoted her life to her family, especially her two grandsons and her great-granddaughter.

Deceased are her brother, Steve Kopelchak and sisters, Pauline and Esther Kopelchak.

Friends are welcome from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, where a prayer service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, April 6, followed at 10:30 a.m. by a Mass of Christian Burial in Saint Katharine Drexel, Bentleyville Campus, 126 Church Street, Bentleyville with the Reverend Jeremy J. Mohler, parochial vicar, as celebrant. Interment will follow in Scenery Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Saint Katharine Drexel Parish.
