Richard Cicci Obituary

Richard L. Cicci, 68, of Fallowfield Township, Charleroi, died Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at The Washington Hospital.

He was born September 23, 1947 in Martins Ferry, Ohio, a son of the late Mayday Cicci and Mary Vaccarino Cicci.

He was a graduate of the Bentworth High School.

A veteran, Mr. Cicci served with the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam war and was a member of the American Legion Post 22, Charleroi.

After 38 years of service, he retired from Consol Mines, where he worked as panel board operator in the preparation plant and was a member of the U.M.W.A. Local 1197.

He was a member of the Mary, Mother of the Church, Charleroi.

An avid Penn State football fan, he also enjoyed golfing.

Surviving are his wife, Georgia Greer Cicci; his children, Heidi Cramer (D. Scott) and Heather Keranko (Matthew), all of Charleroi, Rick Cicci (Lisa) of Phoenix, Arizona and Holly Cicci of Cincinnati, Ohio; his grandchildren that he adored, Desirae, Madison, Hannah, Jackson, Logan, Dominic, Isabella and Anthony; his siblings, Anna Marie Kirgan (Larry) of Lowell, Indiana, Gilbert Cicci of Bentleyville and Denise Perchinsky of Eighty Four; special friend, Janice Mahalko and family; several nieces and nephews and “Tractor”.

Friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, where a prayer service will be held at 9:15 a.m., Friday, October 30, 2015 followed at 10 a.m. by a Mass of Christian Burial in Mary, Mother of the Church, Charleroi with the Reverend Gerald S. Mikonis, as celebrant. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Monongahela with military rites by American Legion Post 22.
