Rosalie E. Matay Laktash, 79, of Ellsworth, died Tuesday evening, August 29, 2017 at the Jefferson Regional Hospital.
She was born May 11, 1938 in Bentleyville, a daughter of Mike and Hazel Andrews Matay.
For several years, Mrs. Laktash was a bartender at the Polish Club in Bentleyville.
She was a member of the Polish Club and Independent Club, both of Bentleyville.
Surviving are a son, William Strogish (Adrienne Fisher) and a daughter Cindy Strogish Lucy all of Ellsworth; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Barry Matay (Mary Lou) of Bentleyville and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are her husband, Matthew “Sonny” Laktash, Sr.; daughter, Saundra Laktash; son, Matthew “Bubby” Laktash, Jr.; brothers, Michael, Jr., Lavern, Edward and Robert Matay.
Friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, where a service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, September 2, 2017 with Pat Carl, officiating.
