Roseen Nahas

Roseen Khoury Nahas, 78, of Fallowfield Township, passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 in Washington Hospital.

She was born August 20, 1937 in Syria and traveled to America in 1950. She is the daughter of the late George and Josephine Sheheen Khoury.

She was a member of St. Michael Antiochian Orthodox Church of Monessen, where she dedicated many hours to baking and cooking for the church’s bake sales and dinners.

She also enjoyed spending time with her family, whom she loved unconditionally.

Surviving are her daughter, Denise Nahas Lacich of Tampa, Florida and her daughter, Lindsey Lacich; a son, Richard Nahas and his wife Lora Nahas of California and their sons, Khoury and Kadin Nahas; a sister, Mary Coury of Columbus, Ohio; two brothers and three sisters living in Syria and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Nahas, Sr.

Friends are welcome from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, where a service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, September 18, 2015 with the Rev. Father Fred Pfeil, officiating. Interment will follow in Monongahela Cemetery. A Trisagion service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
