Shirley Faye Blackburn Lutz, 69, of Perryopolis, formerly of Ellsworth, died Friday, October 10, 2014.
Shirley was born August 26, 1945 in New Eagle, a daughter of the late Luther and Catherine Hancosky Blackburn.
Surviving are her husband of 19 years, Keith Lutz; son Paul Corbett and wife Kim of Perryopolis; daughter Carol Corbett of West Newton; grandchildren, Shane Assadzandi of West Virginia, Paul Michael Corbett and Jakeb Corbett, both of Perryopolis and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents Shirley was preceded in death by her four sisters, Mary Lou Blackburn, Betty Patton, Dorothy Ambrosy, Thelma Dobrowolski and five brothers, Lloyd E., Marty Jr., Bill, Bobby and David Blackburn.
Shirley was a loving wife, mother, friend and grandmother who cherished her grandchildren dearly, she loved her 3 dogs and bird. Shirley loved helping her family and friends anytime they needed her.
The family expresses their deepest gratitude to the Vitas Hospice staff for caring for Shirley during the last several weeks and to her very dear special friend, Shawn McConville, who personally cared for her every day and to Shawn's husband Cletus and daughter Sarah for opening their home and hearts to Shirley.
