Val Seidel

Val J. Seidel, 75, of Bentleyville, died Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at the Monongahela Valley Hospital emergency department.

He was born July 17, 1941 in Marianna, a son of Valentine Seidel, Sr. and Mary Ann Preisendorfer Seidel.

He was a graduate of Bentleyville High School.

Mr. Seidel retired from Equitable Gas, where he worked as an arc welder.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors and was a former member of the Ellsworth Sportmens Club.

His wife, Linda L. Stence Seidel, whom he married on September 1, 1962 in Charleroi, survives.

Also surviving are his son, Mark J. Seidel, Sr. Airman and veteran of the U.S. Air Force (wife Lorna) of Bentleyville; grandchildren, Bethany and Julan Seidel; great-grandchild, Alexis Raymond; sister, Susan Kaye Bittner (Don) of Malden and niece, Holly Konek-Morgan.

Family and friends are welcome to a memorial service at 11 a.m., Monday October 3, 2016 at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, with the Rev.
