Beloved Mother, Grandmother & Nana
Veronica Berchin Petrusky, 85, of Bentleyville, passed away peacefully in her home, Tuesday, May 17, 2016 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born February 4, 1931, a daughter of Andy and Anna Safko Berchin.
Mrs. Petrusky was a Bentleyville High School graduate.
On November 29, 1952, she married Emil Petrusky of Monessen, who died June 8, 1995.
She loved shopping with her “girls”, gardening, baking, cooking and spending time with her family.
Her family was the most dear to her heart and her three wonderful grandchildren fulfilled her life whom she “would do anything for.”
Mrs. Petrusky was a member of the Ave Maria Parish.
Surviving are three daughters, Barb Welsh (William) of Houston, Donna Petrusky-Hails and Michele “Mickey” Petrusky, both at home; three grandchildren, Hillary Hails of Charleroi, Sarah Welsh of Philadelphia and Kevin Welsh of Houston and several wonderful nieces and nephews.
Deceased are two sisters, Hattie Cario and Margaret Kadusky and three brothers, Andy Berchin, Frank Berchin and Steve Berchin.
Friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, where a prayer service will be held at 12:30 p.m., Friday, May 20, 2016 followed at 1:00 p.m. by a Mass of Christian Burial in Ave Maria Church, Bentleyville with the Reverend Edward L. Yuhas, as celebrant. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Monongahela. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Washington City Mission, 382 West Chestnut St., Washington, PA 15301.
