Carolyn Bundash

Carolyn G. Bundash, 69, of Bentleyville, died Tuesday morning, April 11, 2017 at her home.

She was born March 5, 1948 in New Eagle a daughter of Valeria Gagus Ghilani of Victory Hill, Monongahela and the late Frank Ghilani.

Mrs. Bundash was a graduate of Monongahela High School Class of 1966, Douglas School of Business in Monessen and Penn State University, Connellsville branch. She also took various classes at California University of Pennsylvania.

She worked for the late D. Keith Melenyzer, Esquire, of Charleroi for more than 37 years as a Legal Secretary, Bookkeeper, Notary Public, Office Manager and Paralegal.

She was a member of the former Ave Maria Parish, now Saint Katharine Drexel Parish, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister for many years until she became ill. Further, Mrs. Bundash attended a Bible Study group at St. Clement’s Church in Ellsworth, Charismatic Masses and a Prayer Group at St. Oliver Plunkett Parish in Fredericktown, retreats at St. Vincent College in Latrobe and numerous Catholic Education Seminars, Missions and Retreats.

Surviving are her husband of 48 years, Michael Bundash III, whom she married September 27, 1969; a son, Michael David (Dave) Bundash IV and wife Keli of Washington and their children, Ethan, Rylee and Baylee, daughter, Michelle (Shelly) Renee Alton and husband Travis of Bentleyville and their daughter, Traelynn and daughter, Melissa (Missy) Marie Fitch and husband Jason of Bentleyville and their daughter Sarah; her sister, Linda M. Jones and husband Ronald (RJ) of Monongahela; her brother, Ronald F. Ghilani of Bethel Park and several nieces, nephews, great-nephews and one great-niece.

She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren family and friends.

Friends are welcome from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, where a prayer service will be held at 9:30 a.m., Monday, April 17, 2017, followed at 10 a.m. by a Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Katharine Drexel, Bentleyville Campus (formerly Ave Maria), 126 Church Street, Bentleyville, with the Reverend Edward L. Yuhas, Administrator, as celebrant. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Monongahela. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mon-Vale Health Resources, Inc., Office of Fund Development, 1163 Country Club Rd, Monongahela, PA 15063, to support the newly opened wig boutique.
