Dewey, a mixed breed, possibly a hound dog in there somewhere, was born November 14, 2009. He passed peacefully over the rainbow bridge on July 20, 2019 surrounded by his mom and dad, Wayne and Sandy Ross.
He is dearly missed by his family including fur brother, Simon, and sister, Molly.
Despite being plagued by seizures for most of his life, he was close to 10 years old when he passed.
Dewey was the gentlest dog ever in the family. Not only did he rarely bark, he was never known to bare his teeth, bite, or even raise the hair on his back. The only growls he ever emitted were during rough play with his sister Molly.
Though he could ring a bell with his paw when he was young, his skill set was mostly sleeping and, at times, pacing. He never developed a love of toys, but chasing his sister was a favorite activity.
Never a fan of loud noises, Dewey’s anxieties multiplied as his years of seizures increased. His twice daily medication provided a rhythm to his days and often a break from the debilitating seizures, but in the end wasn’t enough to keep him here on earth.
He loved his family during his time here and was well loved in return.
