Frances Dochenetz

Frances “Dolly” Vinkovich Dochenetz, 94, of Bentleyville, passed away Sunday, October 15, 2017 at The Residence at Hilltop, Monongahela following a period of treatment at the Monongahela Valley Hospital. She died of natural causes.

She was born January 1, 1923 in Bentleyville, a daughter of John and Anne Cizmek Vinkovich.

Frances was a graduate of the Bentleyville High School Class of 1941. Following graduation, she worked in a defense plant until the war was over and then returned to Bentleyville.

She and her late husband, Frank “Feathers” Dochenetz, owned and operated the Bentleyville Hardware, Heating and Plumbing for over 50 years, until his death in 1991. She continued the business with her daughter and son.

Frances was a past member of the True Value Hardware Board of Directors in Pittsburgh.

She was a business person and loved serving the people of Bentleyville and a love for the town.

Surviving are a granddaughter, Ariel Dochenetz; her siblings, brother Ivan Vinkovich (Florence) of Dover, Ohio and brother Donald J. Vinkovich (Barbara) of Circleville, Ohio and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Deceased, in addition to her husband, are a daughter Catherine Gregor and a son Fred Dochenetz.

Friends are welcome from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, October 21, 2017 at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, where a blessing service will begin at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Edward L. Yuhas, officiating. Interment will follow in Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora.
