Irene Fabin Popovich, 88, of Scenery Hill, died Thursday morning, January 26, 2017 at the Donnell House, Washington.
She was born June 8, 1928 in Independence Township, Washington County, a daughter of Andrew and Anna Swedic Fabin.
A homemaker, Mrs. Popovich was an excellent cook and baker. She loved spending time with her family.
On October 2, 1948 in Monongahela, she married Mike Popovich, who died September 3, 2014.
Surviving are his children, Kathy Cowden (Bill) of Washington and Mike Popovich (Karla) of Scenery Hill; grandchildren, Bill Cowden (Jenn) of Eighty Four and Angela Lemley (Terry) of Bentleyville; great-grandchildren, Emmett and Aiden Capp, both of Bentleyville; brother, Steve Fabin (Ann) of Eighty Four and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are her brothers, John, Stanley, George and Edward Fabin and a sister, Eleanor Gray.
Friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, where a service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, January 30, 2017 with Pastor Max Miller, officiating.
