Mary Behanna

Mary Petrisek Behanna, 99, formerly of Bentleyville, died Wednesday afternoon, January 17, 2018 at Thorpe’s New Dawn Personal Care Home, Charleroi.

She was born August 24, 1918 in Bentleyville, a daughter of the late George and Julia Getto Petrisek.

On February 2, 1939, she married Clarence Behanna, who died June 17, 1995.

Surviving are three children, James Behanna (Dorothy) of Harker Heights, Texas, Mary Ann Price of Waldorf, Maryland and Paulett Banks of Ann Arbor, Michigan; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Mary Alberta Behanna, Francis Behanna, Jr. and his daughter, Brooklyn Behanna, Dawn Pettit and her son, Zachary Pettit, Jamie Behanna and his son and daughter, Brayden and Emma, Jo Ann McClanahan. James Behanna, Jr. and Daniel Behanna; a brother, Max Petrisek of Lancaster; daughter-in-law, Sandy Behanna of Bentleyville and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her son Francis, two sisters and seven brothers.

Friends are welcome from 10 to 11:45 a.m., Monday, January 22, 2018 at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, where a funeral service will follow the visitation at 12 Noon with Pastor Barbara Bailey, officiating. Interment will follow in Beallsville Cemetery, Beallsville.
