Megan, our sweet little wiener dog, passed away on August 1, 2017. She will always be missed by her loving family, Tim, Randi, Abby, Kate, and her brother Bernie Marodi of Bentleyville.
On a spring day in 2004, Megan was abandoned on a country road in Scenery Hill, PA, where the Guza family found her and gave her shelter. She was a year old when she was adopted by the Marodi family on June 14, of that year, so her gotcha day became her unofficial birthday.
Megan was a good dog, who didn't have many accidents in the house and only ever chewed up one shoe. Her only bad habit consisted of getting into the bathroom trash can whenever she could.
She didn't listen to typical commands like sit and stay, but if treats were involved, she did a spinning move called "dancy dancy." She didn't like men in uniforms, she didn't really like toys and she wouldn't fetch. She loved to beg for food and sleep on beds.
Megan didn't like to go outside if it was extremely hot, cold or rainy, but preferred a cloudy day with a temperature of about 70 degrees.
Like all dogs, Megan wasn't supposed to have grapes, but she begged for them anyway. She also tempted fate one Christmas by eating two chocolate-covered gingerbread houses while her family was away.
She was a good sport who loved spending time with children and friends who visited her home. She never bit anyone.
Megan was a good girl and a faithful companion.
