Oreo was a great cat who was a beloved member of the Lukich family of Bentleyville. He passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2019.
He loved cuddling with his mother Debbie and lying in her lap.
But it was his sister Caitie who actually fell in love with him on a very cold December day in 2004, when she saw him outside of the family’s church. He was just a kitten and he kept trying to get into the church. As soon as Caitie saw him she fell in love and picked him up. She held him before Sunday school, and she went back outside to hold him during the break between Sunday school and church. After church, Caitie wouldn’t put him down. Debbie also felt bad for the small, black and white beautiful kitten and asked the neighbors if they had lost a kitten. That’s when they learned that someone had dropped off a bunch of kittens by the church. So, Oreo went home with the Lukich family, where he was given food, water and a warm place to live. After a few days he was accepted and welcomed by the family's two adult cats.
Oreo liked to go outside occasionally, but he always came back and stayed close to the house.
He leaves behind his buddy Max the Dog and his older sister, Tigger.
