Pumpkin “Ms. Kitty” Nicholson, 16 years old, went to sleep Wednesday, August 28, 2019, at the home of her parents, Wayne and Prudy Nicholson of Bentleyville.
She was born October 2002 in Bentleyville.
Pumpkin, a beautiful tortoiseshell kitten, strolled into our lives on December 1, 2002 from the Andrew Latta family. She was only supposed to stay overnight until we could take her back home in the morning, but she became a precious member of our family when she cuddled with her new dad that first night and changed his mind.
She was our “invisible” kitty because when friends came to visit, they would never see her and some didn’t even know we had a cat. She only came out of hiding long enough to eat, use her litter box, and cuddle with her mom and sister Chrissy or to chase and nip some unsuspecting passerby on their feet and legs and then she'd take off running.
She stayed indoors and only ventured outside when her mom was with her.
Ms. Kitty is survived by her parents, sister Chrissy (Zach Fogle) of Monroeville; brother Jeff (Larissa) of North Charleroi; fur sister Maxie (at home); and her niece and nephew Aly and Warren.
Pumpkin was a very important part of our family and will be forever missed.
