Walter Bular

Walter William Bular, Sr., 80, of Bentleyville, died Friday morning, December 30, 2016 at the Washington Hospital.

He was born June 8, 1936 in Bentleyville, a son of Stanley S. Bular, Sr. and Frances Graczyk Bular.

He was a graduate of Bentleyville High School.

A self-employed contractor, Mr. Bular was a partner with his son, operating Walter Bular General Contracting.

Mr. Bular was a member the Ave Maria Parish, where he served as an altar server, usher and money counter. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 5826 in Bentleyville.

His wife of 60 years, Lenora June Fiem Bular, survives. They were married June 9, 1956 at St. Luke Church, Bentleyville.

Also surviving are three children, Walter W. Bular, Jr. (Lee Ann) of Bentleyville, Cheryl Ann Gordon (Adrian) of Bentleyville and Lynn Marie Bular of Washington; grandchildren, Kristen Ann Barnot (Brett), Joshua William Gordon (fiancée Katlyn) and Marissa Lee Boardley; great-grandson, Jaxson Thomas Barnot; brother, Thomas S. Bular (the late Nancy) of Eighty Four and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are brothers, Edward Bular, Stanley S. Bular, Jr., Frank J. Bular and Albert H. Bular and a sister, Frances Campbell.

Friends are welcome from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, where a prayer service will be held at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, January 3, 2017 followed at 10 a.m. by a Mass of Christian Burial in Ave Maria Church, 126 Church Street, Bentleyville with the Reverend Pierre M. Falkenhan, as celebrant. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Monongahela. The Knights of Columbus will pray the Rosary at 6 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
