Abbey Louise Helicke, a sweet and sassy Jack Russell Terrier, owned by Jim and Mary Helicke of Washington, crossed over the Rainbow Bridge on Friday, November 6, 2020. She was preceded in death by her sibling Amos.
The Helicke family adopted Abbey and her brother Amos when they were eight weeks old. It was immediately apparent that she was the Alpha dog and that it was her purpose to annoy him.
Abbey would have made a great farm dog because she loved to be outside where she could hunt for small critters.
She also loved to go on long walks and she loved to jump in the creek to cool off. When she was indoors, she loved to destroy squeaky toys. She was super intelligent and knew many tricks. She would do anything for treats (mainly carrots) and would follow her family around thinking she would get one. She had an annoying beg-bark that she knew would get her a treat every time.
Abbey had an intimidating posture, but was truly very sweet and mild.
Sleep tight little girl. We will always love you.
