Albert Cordisco, 101, of Bentleyville, passed away on Friday, February 3, 2017, in Washington Hospital.
He worked for 43 years for Beth Energy at Ellsworth Mine #51. He was an avid gardener and wine maker in his spare time. He also enjoyed spending time with his family.
He was a member of both St. Katharine Drexel Parish and the Knights of Columbus in Bentleyville.
Surviving are his wife Malta of Bentleyville, two daughters, Frosina (Bob Malenfant) Cordisco of Pittsburgh and Rita Cordisco of Wayne, Pa.; two grandchildren Christopher (Linds) Damich and Nicole (Dan) Brennan; one great-grandson, Casey; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are one brother, Diamond, and two sisters, Teresa Oddis and Florina Dalnisio.
Friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, February 5, 2017, at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, where a prayer service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday, February 6, 2017 followed at 10 a.m. by a Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Katharine Drexel, Bentleyville Campus (formerly Ave Maria), 126 Church Street, Bentleyville, with the Reverend Edward L. Yuhas, Administrator, as celebrant. Entombment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. The Knights of Columbus will pray the Rosary at 6 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
