Angelo J. "Jaggers" Forte, 81, of Bentleyville, died Monday, December 18, 2006, at home.
He was born January 17, 1925 in Ellsworth, a son of Frank and Ernestine Forte.
A veteran, he served with the U.S. Army Air Corp. during World War II as a corporal.
He retired from Bethlehem Mines and worked at mine 51 in Ellsworth.
He was a member of U.M.W. of A., Local 1197.
His wife, Loretta Ann Truran Forte, died September 26, 1989.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Deceased in addition to his wife are four brothers, Nicholas Forte, Carmine F. Forte, Sr., Michael M. Forte and John Forte and three sisters, Elizabeth Forte, Antoinette Biscardi and Josephine Hritz.
Friends received from 1 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc. 809 Main Street, Bentleyville (724-239-2255), where a blessing service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, December 21, 2006 with the Rev. Edwin J. Wichman, pastor of Ave Maria Parish, officiating. Interment will follow in Beallsville Cemetery with graveside military rites accorded by the American Legion Post 165, Bentleyville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Washington County Humane Society, PO Box 66, Eighty Four, PA 15330 or the American Cancer Society/PA Division, 320 Bilmar Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15205.
