Ann Remish Obituary

Ann R. Ivcic Remish, 92, of Bentleyville, died Sunday, August 30, 2009 at the Washington Hospital.


She was born June 6, 1917 in McDonald, a daughter of Stephen and Mary Frankovich Ivcic.


Mrs. Remish was a member of Ave Maria Parish, the parish Women's Guild and the Catholic Daughters of the Americas Court Dolores 1675, Bentleyville.


On April 11, 1942 in New Castle, she married Andrew John Remish, who died August 7, 1985.


Surviving are four daughters, Dolly Sekora, Loretta Forte, Andrea Remish and Bernice Remish, all of Bentleyville; grandsons, Joe Sekora (Traci) and Brian Morgan (Denise); great-grandchildren, Tristan Sekora-Coyle and Jordan Sekora; sister, Katherine McKeta of Cokeburg; several nieces and nephews and her caregiver, Theresa Molesky.


Deceased are a granddaughter, Johnette Sekora; brothers, George "Whitey", John, Frank and Michael "Mitz" Ivcic.


Friends are welcome from 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday and 1 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville (724-239-2255), where a prayer service will be held at 9:30 a.m., Thursday, September 3, 2009 followed at 10 a.m. by a Mass of Christian Burial at Ave Maria Church, Bentleyville, with Rev. Gary W. Krummert, as celebrant. Interment will follow in Monongahela Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ave Maria Parish, 126 Church Street, Bentleyville, PA 15314, Bentleyville Public Library, 931 Main Street, Bentleyville, PA 15314 or the Washington Hospital Foundation, 155 Wilson Ave., Washington, PA 15301. The Catholic Daughters of the Americas and the Ave Maria Parish Women's Guild will pray the rosary at (TBA) Wednesday in the funeral home.
