Anne Hackinson Obituary

Anne Kubis Hackinson, 85, formerly of Van Voorhis, died Sunday, October 9, 2011 in Country Care Manor in Fayette City, where she was a current resident.

She was born July 27, 1926 in Elmgrove, West Virginia, a daughter of the late John and Suzanne Cerbus Kubis.

Mrs. Hackinson was a postal worker for over 30 years with the U.S. Postal Service and was the former postmaster in Van Voorhis.

She was a member of member of Grace United Methodist Church, Coal Center.

She was also a member of the Otters Club in Van Voorhis, the French Club in Monessen and enjoyed BINGO and playing slot machines.

Surviving are a daughter, Patricia A. Clausi of Charleroi; a son, Dennis G. Hackinson (Darlene) of Monessen; grandson, William Clausi (Kelly) of Belle Vernon; granddaughter, MaryAnne Hackinson (finacee Brian Binkley) of Monessen; brothers, Paul Kubis and Andrew Kubis (Dorothy), all of Finleyville; sisters, Helen Liker of Michigan, Mildred Lenik and Evelyn Exler, both of Finleyville and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased in addition to her parents are her husband, T.E. "Sam" Hackinson; son-in-law, Louis Clausi; brothers, John and Joseph Kubis and sisters, Sue McGuire, Margaret Roberts and Mary Jane Piccolo.

Friends are welcome from 4 and 8 p.m. Monday at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, where services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, October 11, with Dr. John K.
