Betty Lambert

Betty Forte Lambert, 66, of Bentleyville, died Sunday, May 17, 2009 at HCR Manor Care Health Services, McMurray.

She was born January 23, 1943 in Charleroi, a daughter of Mildred I. Haywood Forte of Ellsworth and the late Carmine F. Forte, Sr.

She was a graduate of the Ellsworth High School.

For several years, she was the tax collector for Bentleyville Borough and Bentworth School District and worked for the former Sheetz in Bentleyville.

She was a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Charleroi and the former Caramel Festival Committee.

Her husband, Harry R. "Pete" Lambert, died August 2, 2008.

Surviving, in addition to her mother, are a son, David R. Lambert and fiancAC.e Amy Moser of Ellsworth; a daughter and son-in-law, Danielle Renee and Joe Rusnak of Bentleyville; four grandchildren, David and Margaret Lambert, Joshua and Rylee Rusnak; a brother, Carmine "Sonny" Forte (Sandra) of Bentleyville; two sisters, Nadine Finn (Joe) of Mt. Joy and Lois Bertocci of Bentleyville and several nieces and nephews.

Friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Tuesday at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville (724-239-2255), where services will be held at 11 am, Wednesday, May 20, 2009 with Father William Ilgenfritz, officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Creek Cemetery, Charleroi. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc, 809 Main St., Bentleyville, PA 15314.
