Betty Mae Mitchner Lutes, 86, of Bentleyville, died Saturday, October 3, 2009, at Washington Hospital.
She was born February 23, 1923 in California, a daughter of George Alroy Mitchner and Lilly Blanche Wells Mitchner.
She was a homemaker.
Surviving are six children, Lillian J. Ritter of Finleyville, Ida M. Telegraphis (James) of Bentleyville, Robert A. Chester of Bentleyville, Charles G. Chester (Buelah) of Eighty Four, James T. Chester of Bentleyville and Harvey L. Lutes, Jr. (Robin) of Scenery Hill; 17 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Thurman T. Mitchner (Johanna) of Bentleyville, Paul R. Mitchner of Canada; three sisters, Mary B. Sebetich (Nick) of Bentleyville, Alice Berdine and Phylace P. Thomas, both of Washington; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are her first husband, William R. Chester, Sr; second husband, Harvey L. Lutes, III; a daughter, Barbara A. Telegraphis; brothers, Donnald G., Charles and William Mitchner and granddaughter, Rebecca Jean Telegraphis.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville (724-239-2255), where services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, October 7, 2009, with Mrs. Brenda Telegraphis, officiating.
