Bruno A. Scicchitano, 91, of Bentleyville, died Saturday, December 22, 2007 at the Monongahela Valley Hospital.

He was born February 27, 1916 in Bentleyville, a son of Domenico and Maria Mirarchi Scicchitano.

He was a graduate of the Bentleyville High School.

He was a self-employed barber in Bentleyville for 72 years.

Mr. Scicchitano was a member of the Friendship Community Church in Washington, the Bentleyville Volunteer Fire Department and the Independent Club, Bentleyville.

On December 7, 1937, he married Mary A. Marano, who died March 25, 1990.

Surviving are a daughter, Isabelle Smaroff (the late Robert) of Valparaiso, Indiana; a son, Bruce A. Scicchitano (wife Joan) of Bentleyville; four grandchildren, Bruce Scicchitano, Desiree Vedo (husband Scott), Duke Smaroff (wife Carrie) and Lynaia Korcek (husband Philip); seven great-grandchildren, Jordan, Nicholas, Tiffany, Robert, Anthony, Zachary and Philip; a brother, Patsy Scicchitano (wife Leona) of Bentleyville; a sister, Josephine Sommariva of Georgia and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are four brothers, Ralph, Tony "Sinso", Francis "Sam" and infant Joseph Scicchitano and a sister, Theresa Codispot.

Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, where services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, December 28 with the Rev. Floyd Marasco, officiating. Interment will follow in Beallsville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bentleyville Public Library, 931 Main Street, Bentleyville, PA 15314, Friendship Community Church, P.O. Box J, Washington, PA 15301 or Three Rivers Hospice, 1195 Jacks Run Road, North Versailles, PA 15137.
