Bud Kusman, 89, of Ellsworth, died Friday, May 2, 2008 at the Washington Hospital.
Since January 2007, he was a resident of the Washington County Health Center.
He was born July 8, 1918 in Bentleyville, a son of William and Mary Kusman.
He was a 1937 graduate of Bentleyville High School.
Mr. Kusman was Russian Orthodox.
A veteran, he served with US Army from 1939 to 1942 and was a member of the American Legion Post 165, Bentleyville.
He worked for the former Bethlehem Mines at mine 51 in Ellsworth and later as a caddy master at Nemacolin Country Club, Beallsville.
His wife, Rose T. Osoba Kusman, died February 10, 2004.
Surviving are two children, Theresa M. "Terry" Kusman of Ellsworth and Bradley J. Kusman (wife Jamie) of Monongahela and several nieces and nephews.
He was the last of his immediate family.
Deceased in addition to his wife are four brothers, George, Alexander, Mike and Alec and a sister, Sonia Meno.
Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville (724-239-2255), where services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 6 with Father Gregory Peterson of Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, Charleroi, officiating. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
