Carol Peretti Durko, 85, of Cokeburg, passed away Sunday, September 26, 2021at UPMC - Presbyterian, Pittsburgh.
She was born October 11, 1935 in Cokeburg, a daughter of Fred and Josephine McKay Peretti.
Mrs. Durko attended the Ellsworth High School.
In her youth, she enjoyed playing softball and bowling.
An avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, Mrs. Durko also enjoyed being active at the Mon Valley YMCA.
She was a life-long member of the Saint Katharine Drexel Parish, Bentleyville, a member of Saint Sebastian Parish, Belle Vernon and the Croatian Fraternal Union St. George Lodge 354, Cokeburg.
Her husband, Joseph Durko, Sr., passed away October 12, 2011.
Surviving are her children, Joseph R. Durko (Cathy) of Cokeburg, Lori Dziak (Gary) of Cokeburg, Gina Geresti (Kevin) of Avella, Paula Selvoski (Brad Hart) of Amity and Jennifer Powell (Rick) of Cokeburg; twelve grandchildren, Brandon Lewis, Erika Goblesky, Amanda Priestley, Rick Gambino, Kurtis Powell, Jeffrey Selvoski, Derrick Selvoski, Chuck Selvoski, Joseph S. Durko, Kady Durko, Cameron Geresti and Garrett Geresti; 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter; brother, Fred Peretti (Maryanne) of Boardman, Ohio; a sister, Loretta Lee (Tom) of Ellsworth and several nieces and nephews.
She is also survived by a very special companion, Joe Valent of Belle Vernon and his family.
Deceased are a daughter Mary Kay Gambino and sisters, Gilda Testa, Edith Simms and Mafalda Sabolsky.
There will be no public visitation.
Friends are welcome to Mrs. Durko's Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m., Friday, October 1, 2021 at Saint Sebastian Church, 801 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon with the Reverend James Bump, as celebrant.
A procession will follow to Sacred Heart Cemetery, Monongahela for the Rite of Committal service.
