Catherine (Sabol) Rendulic

Catherine Cecilia Sabol Rendulic, 94, of Marianna, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, June 20, 2024, with her daughters, and sister Ann by her side.

She was born November 12, 1929, the daughter of Alex and Anna Harvan Sabol.

On September 20, 1951, she married Joseph Rendulic, Jr. who preceded her in death on April 23, 1996. She was also preceded in death by her son and caretaker, Michael J. Rendulic on February 17, 2024.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Catherine was a member of Saint Katherine Drexel Parish.

In her early years, she worked as a bookkeeper from 1947 to 1952 for Harpers Feed Store in Washington.

For many years, she was a very active member of Saints Mary and Ann Altar Society in Marianna.

In her senior years, Catherine was a member of the Washington Senior Center and participated in numerous senior performances.

She will always be remembered by family and friends for her sweet personality and her many years of great home cooking and baking. She will be greatly missed at all family functions and especially by her daughters who feel she was "the best and most caring mother and grandmother."

She is survived by daughters Roxanne Canonge (Gary) of The Villages, Florida, and Joan Wyne (Mike) of Canonsburg; six grandchildren Jeremy Wyne (Siriporn) of Peters Township, Jenica Byers (David) of Philadelphia, Matthew Rendulic (Karen) of Morgantown, West Virginia, Joseph Wyne (Yilan) of Herndon, Virginia, Justin Wyne (Jennie) of San Francisco, California, and Mark Rendulic (Heather) of Pittsburgh; three special great-grandchildren, Alex and Annalissa Wyne of Peters Township and Seb Wyne of Herndon, Virginia.

Also surviving are her brother John Sabol of Washington, sisters Ann Perchinsky of Bentleyville, and Veronica Greskovich of Pensacola, Florida, as well as numerous loved nieces and nephews.

Deceased are her siblings, Alexander "Canon", Andrew, Albert, and Mary Gablas, Dorothy Sabol, Margaret DiFilippo, and Sister Theresita Sabol.

Friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, where a prayer service will be held at 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 25, followed at 10 a.m. by a Mass of Christian Burial at Saint Katharine Drexel, 126 Church Street, Bentleyville, with Reverend Edward L. Yuhas, as celebrant.

A procession will follow to Saints Mary and Ann Cemetery, Marianna for the Rite of Committal service.
