Cosmo, a faithful, loving, orange tabby cat, died on August 14, 2020. He was the beloved companion of Mary Jane Los and he blessed her life more than she could ever tell.
She adopted Cosmo from the Washington Area Humane Society in Eighty Four in 2006 when he was nine months, shortly after the death of her second husband. He lived with her in Ellsworth, Leechburg, Westmoreland County, and Vandergrift.
Cosmo hated riding in a car and vocalized his displeasure when it was time to go to the vet or move. Sometimes, he made so much noise that his mother had to close the car windows. He loved chasing his tail almost as if it did not belong to him; sometimes the tail chasing resulted in somersaults.
He was an indoor cat until he and his mother moved to Rich’s farm in 2010, when he blossomed into an indoor/outdoor cat who snatched up all sorts of critters and brought them in through the doggie door. If he felt like it, he even let the critters loose inside of the farmhouse.
Cosmo had a dog pal named Roxie and together they would search out the critters: Cosmo sniffed them out and Roxie caught them.
Cosmo, who was also known as Mr. C, brought his family immeasurable pleasure during his 14 years of life and will always hold a special place in their hearts.
