David A. Bertovich, 80, of Charleroi, passed away Wednesday evening, November 8, 2023 in his home.
He was born on November 25, 1942 in Bentleyville, a son of the late Frank and Helen Alexander Bertovich.
He was a graduate of the Bentleyville High School and West Virginia University.
Mr. Bertovich served during the Vietnam War as a Staff Sergeant with U.S. Army and in the mid 1980's served with the U.S. Air Force Reserves. He was a member of the American Legion Post 22 of Charleroi.
He was employed Beth Energy Mines and worked at mine #51 in Ellsworth, was a bus driver for 88 Transit and worked as a delivery driver for Bertovich Farm.
Surviving are his children, Shane Bertovich, Timothy Bertovich, Cassandra Lawrence (Scott), and Lisa Beltz (David); five grandchildren; a brother, Frank Bertovich (Ruth); a sister Cheryl Biscardi (Joe) and several nieces and nephews.
Friends are welcome from 10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Monday, November 13, 2023 at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, followed at 12 p.m. by a Blessing Service with the Reverend Michael A. Zavage, officiating.
A procession will follow to Sacred Heart Cemetery, Monongahela for a Committal service.
