Della Ciappa Radomile, 90, of Van Voorhis, died Tuesday morning, September 10, 2013 at Justine’s Personal Care Home, Allenport.

She was born August 22, 1923 in Fallowfield Township, a daughter of Enrico and Nunzia Antonucci Ciappa.

Mrs. Radomile was a member of Ave Maria Parish, Bentleyville.

For 66 years, she was the devoted wife of Lewis Radomile, who died September 19, 2012. They were married April 26, 1947.

Her greatest joy was her family. She loved cooking Sunday dinner and having them around her. She was the heart of the family.

Surviving are three children, Nancy Radomile of Van Voorhis, Michael Radomile (Deborah) of Erie and Thomas Radomile (Lisa) of Charleroi; 10 grandchildren; Camille, Kate, Natalie, Lewis III, David, Christopher, Melissa, Ethan, Caleb and Denver; six great-grandchildren, Zoey, Riley Josephine, Madyson, Abigail, Michael and Emalee; sister, Helen C. Davis of Charleroi; daughter-in-law, Jeannie L. Radomile of Van Voorhis and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are two sons, Lewis A, Radomile, Jr. and infant Tom; sisters, Emma E. Bell and two who died in infancy; brothers, Nick Ciappa and two who died in infancy.

Friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, where a prayer service will be held at 9:30 a.m., Friday, September 13 followed at 10 a.m. by Mass of Christian Burial at Ave Maria Church, Bentleyville, with the Reverend Edward L. Yuhas, as celebrant. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Monongahela. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the to Washington County Food Bank, 1020 Route 519, Eighty Four, PA 15330 or the Washington City Mission, 84 W.
