Dick Wright

Richard D. "Dick" Wright, 87, of Eighty Four, passed away Tuesday afternoon, July 1, 2025 at UPMC Washington Hospital.

He was born August 24, 1937 in Charleroi, a son of the late Roy B. Wright, Sr., and Lillian Mae Hess Wright.

Dick was a long-haul truck driver for the former Plasteel in Washington and drove to every state except Hawaii. To his trucker friends, his CB handle was "Dickie Bird".

He enjoyed deep sea fishing, and old movies, and especially enjoyed hunting with his son Rick.

Surviving are his daughters, Penny Wright, and Jody Barker (Harry); granddaughter, Baylee Wright, all of Eighty Four; his faithful companion, Waffles, and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are his son, Rick Wright; brothers, Roy B. Wright, Jr., Thomas E. Wright, and sister, Alice Morrison, and former wife, Mildred Irene Moore Wright.

A private service will be held by the family.
