Dolores "Dolly" Tylus, 81, passed away on May 20, 2025 peacefully in her home.
Dolores was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt who lived her life optimistically and found the good in everyone she knew. She was a gentle, loving, and supportive counselor to all.
Her home was a warm place that always gave comfort and peace. A place that celebrated life and created memories at holidays, birthdays, or just a family dinner. She enjoyed having her house full of those she loved and Dolores was always there to give a hug, infectious laughter, and words of wisdom. Dolores went out of her way to make others feel valued and cared for and she radiated joy.
Dolores loved to watch the Steelers on Sundays, play Candy Crush on her iPad and she was a legit cable news junkie. She was the premier Halupki and pumpkin pie maker and kept the Ed Ty ham recipe going each Christmas.
She is survived by her daughter Tyra (George) Savarese; five grandchildren, Candace Mailliard, Angela Wolf (Brandon), Dylan Tylus (Elaine), Sophia Savarese, and Giorgio Savarese; six great-grandchildren; her brothers, William Consavage (Deborah), and Walter Consavage, and numerous nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her husband Edmund Tylus, and her daughter Monica Goblesky.
No services will be held.
Memorial contributions may be made to the City Mission, 84 W. Wheeling St., Washington, PA 15301, www.citymission.org
