Donald Stinebaugh Obituary

Donald H. Stinebaugh, 88, of Bentleyville, died Tuesday, September 13, 2011 in the Bentleyville Personal Care Home.

He was born December 8, 1922 in McKeesport, a son of Adam and Elsie Alice Jorman Stinebaugh.

A veteran of World War II, Mr. Stinebaugh's service began on January 1, 1943 with the U.S. Army until his honorable discharge on January 17, 1944.

He was employed as an office clerk for National Tube in McKeesport and for a brief time at Arno Tape in Michigan City, Indiana.

Mr. Stinebaugh was a member of the Bartenders Union and the Bentworth Senior Citizens Center, where he delivered Meals on Wheels.

His wife, Louise M. Gilkey Stinebaugh, died February 13, 1999. They were married December 27, 1957 in Duquesne.

Surviving are a brother, Norman Stinebaugh of Philadelphia and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are four brothers and six sisters.

Friends are welcome from 2 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, September 15 at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, where a military service will follow at 6:30 pm., with the American Legion Post 165 of Bentleyville. Private interment in Monongahela Cemetery, Monongahela. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bentworth Senior Citizens Center, 931 Main Street, Bentleyville, PA 15314 or Medi Home Hospice, 168 West Chestnut Street, Washington, PA 15301.
