Douglas M. Dziak, 52, of Bentleyville, passed away Saturday evening, January 2, 2021 at the Washington Hospital.

He was born September 1, 1968 in Pittsburgh, and was the son of Virginia M. Dulick Dziak of Bentleyville and the late William M. Dziak.

Doug was a 1987 graduate of Bentworth High School and he graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a degree in computer science.

He owned and operated Doug's Distributing in Ellsworth and later worked as a self-employed truck driver for the coal industry.

Doug was a member of the St. Katharine Drexel Parish in Bentleyville, Knights of Columbus Council 5826 and the St. George Croatian Fraternal Union in Cokeburg.

He enjoyed golfing and for ten years was involved with the Southwestern Pennsylvania Junior Golf Tour. He enjoyed playing the online game Golf Clash Player, he liked to eat Shorty's Hotdogs and Sam's Pizza, and he enjoyed feeding his grand dog Remi.

He also enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a member of the Ellsworth Sportsmen's Club.

Doug loved spending time with his four children and was a devoted dad and mom to Cami (Michael Barskite), Heidi, Luke, and James William Dziak, all of Bentleyville.

He is also survived by an uncle James P. Dziak of Ellsworth and several uncles, aunts, and cousins.

Deceased are his paternal grandparents, John and Mary Fereza Dziak and maternal grandparents, Andrew and Anna Dulick.

At Doug's request, there will be no visitation. Friends are welcome to his Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Friday, January 8, 2021, at Saint Katharine Drexel, Bentleyville Campus, 126 Church Street, Bentleyville, with the Reverend Edward L. Yuhas, Pastor, as celebrant. The Mass will be Live Streamed via the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home's Facebook page.

Facial coverings and social distancing are required in the church. Due to the current limitations on gatherings, only 80 people are permitted in church.

A procession will follow to Sacred Heart Cemetery, Monongahela for the Rite of Committal service.
