Eleanor Massini Obituary

Eleanor Sikora Massini, 97, of Carnegie, passed away Sunday, July 26, 2026, in her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born May 12, 1929, in Whitney, Westmoreland County, a daughter of the late Stephen and Julia Rose Rockar Sikora.

Eleanor grew up in Maxwell, Fayette County and was a graduate of the Brownsville High School.

She lived the majority of her life in Vesta Six, until 14 years ago, when she and her husband moved to Carnegie to be closer to their family.

She was a member of the St. Raphael the Archangel Parish in Carnegie.

Eleanor enjoyed baking for everyone, cooking, and sharing stories with family and friends, but most importantly she enjoyed spending time with her family.

She left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her, through her kindness, generosity, lively spirit, and devotion to her family. She will be greatly missed and forever remembered.

On October 29, 1955, she married Carl Massini, who passed away November 13, 2017.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Nick Massini (Sherry) of Mars, Annette Marodi (Alex) of Pittsburgh, and Carl John Massini (Maria Iducovich) of McDonald; six grandchildren, Nicolette Penska (Adam), Luke Marodi (Anastasia), Rachel Kittka (Ben), Hannah Spinneweber (Shane), Anna Meade (Kevin) and Leah Marodi; eight great-grandchildren, Brayden Penska, Jude, Claire and Ruth Kittka, Greta Viola Meade, Ivan, Kolbe and Leo Spinneweber; brother, Stephen Sikora, and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased, in addition to her parents and husband, are her sisters, Gloria Jean McLeod, Julia Case and Dolores Swink.

Friends are welcome from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 am, Friday, July 31, 2026 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church of St. Raphael the Archangel Parish, 330 Third Avenue, Carnegie, with the Reverend Robert Grecco, as celebrant. Everyone is to meet at the church.

Interment will follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville.
