Eva (Herilla) Kuchar

Eva Herilla Kucher, 99, of Bentleyville, passed away Monday, June 19, 2023 at the Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.

She was born April 24, 1924 in Lock Four, a daughter of the late Theodore Frank Herilla and Tekla “Tillie” Husoveck Herilla.

Mrs. Kuchar was a member of Saint Katharine Drexel Parish, the parish’s Pierogi Ladies, and a member of the former Ave Maria Parish Women’s Guild.

For 15 years, she was a clerk for the Bentleyville Borough Water Authority.

She enjoyed gardening and yard work.

Her husband, Francis “Fuzzy” Kuchar, passed away June 9, 1991.

Surviving is a son, F. Eugene Kuchar of Pittsburgh and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are a son, Dale Stephen Kuchar, who passed away July 28, 2002; brothers, Alex, Theodore, Jr., John, and Mike Herilla; sisters, Olga Swoger, Ann Denys, and Mary Fefolt, and a daughter-in-law, Karol Kuchar.

Friends are welcome from 9 to 10:45 a.m., Saturday, June 24, 2023 at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, where a Blessing Service will follow at 11 a.m., with the Reverend David Perry, officiating.

Private burial will be in Monongahela Cemetery.
