Evelyn Skrypak Gettings, 89, of Charleroi, FallowfieldTownship, died Sunday, May 22, 2011 at the Bentleyville Personal Care Home.
She was born October 11, 1921 in Bentleyville, a daughter of John and Anna Shernisky Skrypak.

She was a graduate of the BentleyvilleHigh School.
Mrs. Gettings worked as a nursing assistant for 17 years at the WashingtonHospital.
She was a member of Ave Maria Parish, Bentleyville, where she was very active with the Pierogie Ladies.
On August 29, 1945, she married Harry Philip "Boots" Gettings, who died April 17, 1982.
Surviving are a son, Danny P. Gettings (Connie) of FallowfieldTownship; two grandchildren, David Gettings and Carrie Gettings; a brother, John Skrypak, Jr. of Dunnellon, Flor.; a sister, Mary Jane Wyne of FallowfieldTownship and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a brother, Frank Skrypak and a sister Anita Cooley.
Private services held at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, with Rev. Gary W. Krummert, officiating. Interment in Sacred HeartCemetery.
