Frances J. Macosko

Frances J. Lucy Macosko, 89, of Bentleyville, died Thursday morning, April 11, 2013 at her home.

She was born December 9, 1923, in Ellsworth, a daughter of Joseph H. Lucy and Frances Chester Lucy.

During World War II, she was a welder in the shipyards.

Mrs. Macosko was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Bentleyville.

She enjoyed gardening, making quilts and taking care of her dog, Jack.

Her husband, Joseph Macosko, died June 6, 1982.

Surviving are two daughters, Joyce A. Bishop (Timothy) of Greenville, North Carolina and Karen L. Carlisle (Ken) of Bentleyville; three grandchildren, Kelly Tush, Kristen Deans and David J. Carlisle; a great-granddaughter, Addyson Deans; a brother, Willard Godfrey (Elizabeth) of Stockdale; two sisters, Margaret Belle Erdely of Bentleyville and Althea Snyder of Utah and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are three brothers, George F. and Joseph H. and Herbert E. Lucy.

Friends are welcome from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, where a service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday April 15 with Pastor Andy Scott, officiating.
