George E. Galensky,72, of Scenery Hill passed away unexpectedly Saturday, May 27, 2023, at the Washington Hospital.
He was born September 26, 1950, in Cokeburg, a son of the late George Galensky and Inez McKee Galensky.
He was a 32-year mechanic for Consol and worked at the Eighty Four Complex Mine.
Mr. Galensky was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoyed fishing at his camp at Lake Erie. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and watching them play sports.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Morgan Galensky, with whom he celebrated 52 years of marriage.
Also surviving are his daughters Tonya Vickless (John) of Scenery Hill, and Tammy Wright (Michael) of Chesapeake Beach, Md.; three grandchildren, Matthew Vickless, Morgan Lohr (Dex), and Luke Wright; three sisters, Theresa Dipyatic (John), Judy Dobrinski (Frank), and Brenda Hendershot (William); and several nieces and nephews.
Friends are welcome from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, where a Blessing Service will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, June 1, 2023, with Reverend Edward L. Yuhas, officiating.
A procession will follow to Scenery Hill Cemetery for the Rite of Committal service.
