Esker "Harold" Cottrill, Sr., 83, of Bentleyville, passed away Wednesday morning, February 17, 2021, in his home.
He was born October 26, 1937, in Erbacon, West Virginia, a son of Grover Cleveland and Goldie Saulsberry Cottrill.
Mr. Cottrill was self-employed and operated auto service stations in Fredericktown and Deemston Borough (Turkey Foot). He enjoyed bowling and golfing.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 165 of Bentleyville.
Surviving are his daughters Christine Williams (David Little) and Darlene Yothers (Mark) all of Bentleyville and Barbara Williams of Uniontown, and their children Carley and McKenzie Yothers, Austin Little, and Demetrick Montgomery III; and his children Priscilla Kenny and Ernest Cottrill, both of Arizona, and Earl Cottrill of Washington, and their children Lillian, Priscilla, Heather, Glenda, Earl Jr, Gavin, Donald, Michelle, and Alexander; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are his wife Virginia "Ginger" Williams; a son Esker Cottrill, Jr.; and grandsons Demetrick Montgomery, Jr. and Esker Cottrill, III.
Friends are welcome from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 20, 2021, with Pastor Jeff Marton, officiating. Interment in Washington Cemetery.
Due to the current limitations on gatherings, visitors to the funeral home will be restricted to 25 at a time. Facial covering and social distancing are required.
