Harry Robaugh Obituary

Harry J. Robaugh, 78, of Cokeburg, died Thursday, January 28, 2010 at the Washington Hospital with his family at his side.

He was born September 12, 1931 in Allison, Fayette County, a son of Frederick Albert and Jennie Wingrove Robaugh.

He was a graduate of Redstone High School, near Brownsville.

Mr. Robaugh retired from US Steel, Clairton works after 28 years of service and was a member of the U.S. Steelworkers Union.

A veteran, he received the Purple Heart after serving with the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict.

He loved God and his church, the Christian Assembly of God in Bentleyville, where he was a member for 60 years and a former trustee and groundskeeper.

Mr. Robaugh was a member of the Ellsworth Sportsmen's Club, the Croatian Fraternal Union Lodge 354, Cokeburg and the American Legion.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time with his family and was a regular at the youth sporting events.

Surviving is his wife of 53 years, Dorothy M. Robaugh. They were married May 25, 1957 in Winchester, Virg. and lived most of their married life in Cokeburg.

Also surviving are three children, Patti Sabo (William) of Coal Center, Robin Bell (Edward) of Scenery Hill and Eric Robaugh (Nancy) of Canonsburg; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charles (Bud) Robaugh and Carl Robaugh (Linda), all of Allison; four sisters, Jane Robaugh, Ruth Rugola (Tony), all of Allison, Virginia Dzurilla of Uniontown and June Holland of Smock and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are a daughter, Mary Jane Robaugh; a step-daughter, Wilma Amos; a brother, Albert Robaugh; two sisters, Bertha Pavlic and Rose Conaway.
