Helen Molek Carpenelli, 83, of Scenery Hill, died Sunday, October 4, 2009 at UPMC Shadyside, Pittsburgh.
She was born December 7, 1925 in Fairbank, Fayette County, a daughter of Josef and Antoinette Antonina Galica Molek. She was a member of the Christian Assembly of God, Bentleyville
Mrs. Carpenelli was a self-employed beautician.
She was in her 4th year of college with Global University working toward a bachelor of arts in counseling. On May 7, 1948, she married, Carmine S. Carpenelli, who died December 21, 2008.
Surviving are a daughter, Jennie Baker and son-in-law, Gary D. Baker of Texas and their daughter Brittany Baker; a son, Craig Carpenelli and daughter-in-law, Kathryn Carpenelli of Texas and their children, Conrad, Cameo, Clark, Casey, and Chrisandra Carpenelli; two grandsons, Brian and Brent Carpenelli, sons of deceased son, Savine Carpenelli; a brother, Thomas Molek and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are three brothers, Joseph, Walter and Stan Molek and three sisters Nell Molek Lowery, Antoinette Molek Baran and Nancy Molek Nurenberg.
Friends welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home, Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville (724-239-2255). Additional visitation will be held on Friday, October 9, 2009 from 10 to 10:30 a.m., the hour of service, at Christian Assembly of God, 100 Meadow Drive, Bentleyville with Rev. Paul Peternel, officiating. Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill. For those unable to attend, condolences can be sent at www.thompson-marodi.com.
