Henry Yates Obituary
Henry Carl Yates, 85, of Bentleyville, Somerset Township, passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2021.
He was born April 11, 1936 in Washington, a son of Clarence and Ethel Cunningham Yates.
Mr. Yates was a graduate of the Trinity High School.
He worked for Somerset Township on the road crew and Murphy Family, Inc., Washington.
A member of the Pigeon Creek Presbyterian Church, Mr. Yates was a stockholder with the Washington County Fair Board.
His wife, Wilma Jane Harris Yates, passed away January 21, 2020.
Surviving are a son Matthew Yates (Kathy) and granddaughter, Grace Yates, all of Richmond, Kentucky; a special niece, Donna Jones and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a brother, Paul Yates and sisters, Dorothy Meloy, Evelyn Hamilton, Esther Yates and an infant sister.
Friends are welcome from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., Saturday, September 18, 2021 at the Pigeon Creek Presbyterian Church, 45 Church Road, Eighty Four, where a funeral service will follow with the Rev. John Dykstra, officiating.
Interment in Pigeon Creek Cemetery.
